About Martina Steege

Martina was always drawn to essential oils and their therapeutic properties, so one Christmas season she decided to make aromatherapy sugar scrubs for her husband’s clients, which turned out to be a big hit. Thus “MartiScrub” was born. Martina shifted gears and started researching and educating herself on aromatherapy as well as homeopathy and found that most of her household products (from cleaners to beauty care) had somewhat toxic ingredients and were certainly contributing to some health concerns. Martina then opened an Etsy shop in October 2015 and added more and more aromatherapy products that she had been formulating and testing on friends and family. Word got around that her creations were working well for people and animals alike (e.g. ailments such as skin rashes, acne, canine skin issues, baby’s sleeping problems, hormonal imbalances etc.). Martina wanted to learn more, specifically about safety, which led her to a certification program through “Aromahead Institute” that deepened her knowledge and gave her even more confidence.

Martina's definition of an aromatherapist is simple: Someone who is able to blend plant-based science with knowledge, experience and intuition, as she/he creates products that positively impact your senses! That’s what MartiScrub ® is all about!

Martina Steege is a holistic aromatherapist, herbalist and formulator. She is the founder of MartiScrub ®, specializing in therapeutic aromatherapy for a wide range of health concerns, emotional healing, skin care, and animal care. Martina earned her Europa-Sekretärin, ESA (BA of Arts, Office Management) from the Private college Dr. Buhmann, Germany. Martina is fluent in German, English and French. NAHA Certified Professional Aromatherapist Business Member of NAHA (National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy), AIA (Alliance of International Aromatherapists), and UpS (United Plant Savers).
